Kneeling cops, guard

They look pathetic, the cops and soldiers (all guard) who let themselves be cajoled by the protesters into kneeling before the mob. Grinning like the fools they are. Worse even than the crying police chiefs.

All it produced in NYC was a stabbed cop and two more shot. Not much thanks for the Dimocrat mayor leaving the looters to their destructive partying. Even aging Curtis Sliwa and his Guardian Angels tried to stop the looting the city cops are ignoring. And got bloodied for his trouble.

The Z man says aging whites, who remember 1968’s riots, are likely to turn out for Trump in November because they appreciate both his conciliatory words for the protesters, especially the blacks who aren’t looting, and promises of law and order for the rioters.

He got it in DC, finally, after elements of the 82nd Airborne, elite paratroopers who are perpetually on standby and training for just such events as rioting, burning and looting, took the streets back.

Even as his idiot secretary of defense, two days later, decried using active-duty troops for riot control. The Trumpster is not happy with the Secdef.

Nor should he be.

Riot Ninjas

Michael Lind, a prof at the LBJ School at UT-Austin, explains the burning and looting: “The riots are a hub city (New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Atlanta, Washington and Austin) phenomenon—and so are their most striking participants, affluent young white rioters dressed like ninjas.”

Antifa. Lind is author of The New Class War which goes into more detail.

The Crying Police Chief

Austin’s chief Manley wasn’t so manly in a presser yesterday evening. In discussing an apparent protester critically injured by an errant bean bag round, Manly broke down several times. Strange behavior for law enforcement. So was some Austin officers kneeling with protestors.

Is this the face of policing to come? Or at least progressive policing in Democrat cities like Austin? Those mayors, like Austin, didn’t rush to anything else except tear gas and non-lethal (but seriously injurious) ammunition to break up passive-aggressive crowds, here blocking I-35 and getting unruly in front of police headquarters. Mayor Adler says no one wants a curfew. Probably wouldn’t be enforceable anyway and just make the authorities look weaker.

So far progressive policing has produced someone’s burned-out car,  the looting of half a dozen stores, and the attempted looting of others, their owners’ livelihoods sacrificed in the name of what? Fewer injuries? Even if some are critical? No dead cops here yet. There is that.

Declaring martial law

With 27 140 cities experiencing riotous insurrection, according to Drudge, is it time to send in the regular Army? Aren’t enough to handle all 140 cities, so maybe just declare martial law in the cities with fatalities? Only a few of them, so far, like L.A., and Indianapolis, of all places.

Set an example for the others. Or let the guard handle it, where they will, unlike in Minneapolis. So send the 82nd there.

UPDATE:  President Trump’s declaring the thugs of Antifa members of a terrorist organization is a good start. Now watch all the Dims and celebrity cockroaches who donate to Antifa bail out.

MORE: Guard seems to have quelled rioting in Minneapolis. Or maybe not.  From Power Line Blog in Minneapolis: “I don’t deny Antifa’s involvement in the current chaos, but that group lacks the foot soldiers needed to carry out the widespread arson, looting, and vandalism our cities are experiencing. The foot soldiers are local thugs.”

Barry’s legacy

VDH on the Tan Man’s ending.

“We were supposed to see a fundamental transformation of the country between 2009 and 2025, as the Obama-Clinton 16-year regnum finally made America right and correct. Instead, we witnessed eight years that ended in scandal whose full dimensions of criminality will take years to process.”

Looter, arsonist heaven in Minneapolis

The cops aren’t interfering, even when black business owners protest the looting of their stores, and the lamestream media, as usual, is lying:

“It’s mostly a protest and generally not unruly”, said the fake news (MSNBC) reporter as he stands in front of a burning building while looters scamper around behind him.”
