Rural rebellion

In, of all places, Democrat-liberal-socialist California:

“….government regulators are pursuing controversial policies – i.e., diverting water from farms to save a bait fish, the Delta smelt, clamping down on carbon dioxide emissions to address global warming even if it means driving food processors out of the Central Valley, demolishing dams to increase a population of fish that isn’t endangered – without caring about the costs to rural residents.”

Tired of federal-enforcement of global warming yet? It’s only just begun.

In defense of gridlock

Nay, in FAVOR of gridlock. The legacy media is always nattering on about Congress being “productive.” Which  means passing more laws. Geez, Louise, haven’t we got enough laws yet?

Not to mention agencies, such as the EPA and the FCC which nowadays make their own laws (i.e. regulations) without consulting Congress. The EPA plans to regulate cow farts (CO2) and the FCC wants to regulate Facebook (i.e. the Internet). It’s the rule of the bureaucrats. They don’t care which party is in the House or Senate—they’re “productive” all by themselves, i.e. out of control.

Obamalot to run Texas

The permitting, via the executive branch’s EPA, beginning Jan. 2 that is, “on greenhouse-gas permits for companies seeking to build or upgrade power plants and oil refineries…”

Goodbye strong economy and high employment, hello increases in electric bills and the cost of gasoline—all to “stop” alleged global warming. The state will go to court, of course, but how long will that take and what will be the outcome?

Obamalot loves uncertainty and they’ve got at least two more years to whip it by imposing this and similar unilateral regulations without going through Congress.

Texas suit against EPA

I’m glad Gov. Perry and AG Abbott are  suing to stop Obamalot’s EPA from damaging the Texas and U.S. economies in pursuit of resolving, at best, speculative man-made global warming. Hanging the suit on the credibility of EPA’s reliance on the IPCC report looks smart.

But it seems that whether the agency’s planned intervention survives will depend largely on a 2007 supreme court decision allowing it to claim carbon dioxide is a health-damaging pollutant. To reverse that would take another suit entirely, though it might be done on appeal if the Texas suit is turned back for that or some allied reason.

MORE:  Whatever the legacy media thinks about it, Texas has done everybody a favor in trying to stop the EPA’s runaway regulation train.

Mike’s Nature Trick

Hockey_stick_chart_ipcc_large.jpg

This is the fraudulent "hockey stick" that is the basis of the Copenhagen meeting seeking to transform the world economy by impoverishing the West. All in service to a charade that plenty of Web wanderers can see while the Legacy Media and most politicians ignore it for their own reasons.

Best brief explanation of the complicated subject I’ve seen is Sammy Benoit’s here. With luck we’ll dodge the Copenhagen clowns, and their disgraceful "scientist" partners, but Barry’s EPA’s plan to regulate our whole economy via carbon dioxide emissions may trump them yet.

The “Greenhouse Effect” Scam

New research says the so-called Greenhouse Effect, the basis of the IPCC’s report and the EPA’s new regs on carbon dioxide emissions, not only cannot be verified but violates the laws of physics:

"Thus, scientific support for the man-made global warming hoax slowly collapses while politicians rush to lock in massive international wealth-redistribution in its name. Those pesky ‘greenhouse gases’ just don’t behave in a politically correct manner."

Not that this or anything else is likely to slow down the Democrats mad rush for higher taxes for a "solution."

The Carbon Extortion Racket

Never mind the paltry twelve trees that are the main evidence behind the global warming fraud, the EPA has now declared carbon to be a dangerous pollutant. Ready for your electrical bill to hit the stratosphere? Think Team Barry really wants to improve the economy? Think again.
