Eight bullets, in the back, for a busted taillight

Once more, we have a trigger-happy cop and a dead black man whose “resisting arrest” was running away. This time there’ll be no long, drawn-out palaver or grand jury to be manipulated.

Thanks to a bystander’s iPhone video of the incident, the cop has been charged, straight-up, with the murder of Walter Scott.

Miriam Carey could not be reached for comment.

UPDATE:  The brave man who video recorded the police murder of Walter Scott.

The new iGun4

Apple is coming up in the world. Take that, gun controllers. Watch it and weep.

Never irritate those who handle your food

“It’s not about freedom of religion, it’s about freedom of association or just plain freedom, if you will. It is slavery to take property against one’s will or to demand labor against one’s will; and it doesn’t matter whether that will arises from a deeply held religious faith, personal standards, or mere contrariness.”

Frog journalists show stupid, or venal

Stupid at the very least. Venal, if it was done on purpose. Alerting, that is, the jihadists who took over a Paris kosher grocery in January to the hiding place of seven of its Jewish patrons.

“As the drama was unfolding Jan. 9, the French news channel BFMTV reported live that there was a woman hiding from jihadist gunman Amedy Coulibaly in the refrigerated area of the Hyper Cacher supermarket in the midst of France’s days-long terror spree, which included the attack on the Charlie Hebdo offices….

“Though the reporter pointed to one hiding hostage, there were seven people, including a 3-year-old child and a 1-month-old baby, hiding in the store’s cold room.”

Patrick Klugman, a lawyer representing the survivors, said the news channel ‘lacked the most basic precautions’ and endangered the hidden patrons.

Sacre Bleu!

The station, which has apologized rather belatedly, is now the subject of a criminal complaint by the survivors to the Paris police. Gig them frogs!

Democrat economy still tanking

“Now, signs point to a risk of commerce slowing and growth stagnating throughout the year, a year that President Obama and others hoped would be the long-awaited breakout for the still-damaged U.S. economy.”

Still over-regulated and over-taxed, would be more like it. New business creation has been negative since 2009 when our Barry Hussein was sworn in.

It’s been half a century since a Democrat president believed in tax cuts and he (JFK) was murdered.

Abetting terrorism

“I’d be curious to know,” says commenter Jim Alex at Instapundit, “how much these women were ‘encouraged’ to do this by whatever agency arrested them. It seems the only plots the feds bust these days are the ones they create, recruit, and plan.”

Me, too. The prosecutor just happens to be Loretta Lynch, Barry Hussein’s stalled nominee for Eric Holder’s replacement. We now have a pattern of the feds encouraging and abetting wouldbe-terrorists. Except when it comes to the real thing. They didn’t catch the Boston marathon bombers until it was too late.

Those black homophobes

You won’t likely be reading this story in the NYTimes anytime soon. It goes too much against the leftist grain which lumps minorities in one virtuous basket despite their very real differences over social issues, sometimes with each other.

It’s an old story, actually, which I first encountered covering the AIDS epidemic in Texas back in the early 80s. Black gays with AIDS were persona non grata in the black community whose “leaders” denied there were any gay black men.

This new rift between the predominantly white and leftist Presbyterian church (very big on divestment from Israel, by the way) and this council of black pastors over recognition of gay marriage is merely the latest (though perhaps the greatest) example of how even minorities disagree.
