Al’s pal in the White House

Can’t say for sure who race-hustler Al Sharpton visited on his sixty-plus trips to the White House, but it’s a safe bet it wasn’t the gardener.

“MSNBC host, tax evader and proclaimed ‘Reverend’ Al Sharpton is a top adviser to President Obama and has been since day one in the Oval Office. In fact, with more than 60 visits to the White House during Obama’s tenure, you could say Sharpton is one of the top advisers outside of paid staff.

“Heck, he’s even vacationed with the president on Martha’s Vineyard and has a close relationship with senior White House adviser Valerie Jarrett. He’s also played a key role in advising Obama about nominations to powerful positions inside the federal government, including a replacement for Attorney General Eric Holder as the nation’s top law enforcement officer.”

Gosh, you don’t suppose this explains why the pretend Great Uniter came into office in 2009 bashing Rush Limbaugh and Fox News? And why he’s been much more like a Great Divider ever since?

And just when is tax-cheat Al going to get around to paying his $4.5 million in back taxes?

Detente with the Castros

Frankly, I couldn’t care less about Obumbles’ latest bad negotiation with a dictator. He’s a lying sap. We know that. Fidel and Raul are thugs. No surprise.

As for Lurch, hey, the man never met a dictator he didn’t love. Otherwise, as PJMedia’s Roger L. Simon puts it: “In the end, that will pretty much be about beach resorts, maybe a Havana gambling casino or two for Jay-Z.  Standard crony capitalism stuff.”

The Cubans won’t be getting any more political freedom any time soon. They’ll get the cleaning jobs, and wait tables, join the half-naked chorus line and maybe even aspire to croupier. A swarm of gringo tourists to fleece. Better than the communist nothing they have now.

Much more worrisome is Obongo’s and Lurch’s love-affair with Iran. The mullahs will have nukes, and probably a lot sooner than we think.

“I think political correctness is justified when it allows you to preserve human dignity. When it becomes a fetish and a national cult, it is a bit ridiculous. Nobody wants linguistic He-or-shema, as in America, but in any society where different ethnicities live one next to the other, a certain minimum of politically correct clichés will not hurt. Americans are very pragmatic people. They introduced political correctness because it instantly creates a formal bridge across the emotionally charged quagmire. Call a black person a Negro and you immediately acquire a share of responsibility for the slave trade. Call him/her an African-American, and it will be easy to fire him/her. Political correctness creates clear rules, relying on which you can avoid ambiguity, although by itself political correctness is a very ambiguous thing.”

An ambiguity that facilitates news media witch hunts (and racist-manufacturing machines like Al Sharpton) against anyone the cult disagrees with for whatever reason, narrowing the range of thought and steering it hard Left.

No due process at SMU

The Ponies don’t just have a lousy football team, they’ve also rigged the system against students accused of rape. Men, in other words. Despite all the recanted rape charges of recent years, the feds still encourage (shoot, they require) schools to favor the rape accuser over the accused.

“To reiterate: this new procedure, which OCR [federal Office of Civil Rights] requires SMU to continue in the future: (1) denies the accused student the right to an attorney; (2) denies the accused student the right to cross-examine his accuser; (3) allows the accused student no meaningful discovery; (4) can brand the accused student a rapist even if SMU’s own investigator and, later, own conduct review officer concludes he did nothing wrong; and (5) can reach that determination on a 3-2 vote.”

Innocent until proven guilty? Not on this subject and not at SMU. Keep your nose clean out there. The Supreme Soviet (i.e. OCR) is back in business, in Dallas.

Workplace violence in Sydney

Never mind the black flag in the window of the Sydney, Australia coffee shop that says “There is no god but Allah.” The Fort Hood killer shouted the same thing as he gunned down his unarmed prey, but Wormtongue’s feds are still denying it could have been anything but workplace violence.

We’ll have to wait and see what the Aussies decide to term it. Possibly depending on how many of the between 12 and 40 hostages make it out alive and, of course, how many are employees. Gotta parse the tea leaves in these matters and, above all, pretend they’re not religion-motivated.

That would be Islamophobic. And we can’t have that now, can we? Why, shoot, some people (including the police) can actually see the perp with what appears to be a pump shotgun. So are there police snipers on the case? Not yet. But, hey, there’s some progress. The event is now officially being referred to as “a terrorist incident.” Take that, Barry.

UPDATE:  The perp is dead and two hostages. “11:30 EST The Daily Telegraph is now saying 4 wounded, 2 dead. One of the deceased is reportedly ‘Sheik’ Man Haron Monis, as he is now referred to in the press.” He was another known Lone Wolf.

Feds Subsidizing Christianity

Not only are the feds falling all over themselves to spend hundreds of millions on the latest wave of illegal immigrants, but they’re allowing the bucks to be administered by Christian groups, specifically Baptists and Catholics.

I can hear the howling now from the Democrat news media if the Republicans were doing this. But of course in a sense they are. The GOP establishment is just as eager as the Democrats to defy public opinion when it comes to illegals.

Advice to victims of the Democrat economy: Get yourself and your kids down to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio or Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma, forget you speak English, and cash in on the goodies.

Learning to say “I will vote Democrat” in Spanish will be a big help.

Jesse Jackson and the Internet

Chicago’s famous race pimp and Wormtongue crony is lobbying the FCC for his preferred form of Net Neutrality, which ought to be a tip-off that still more obnoxious Democrat regulation of all our lives is just around the corner.

But stay calm. It was always a matter of time before the pols got their grimy paws on the Internet to create opportunities for themselves. Graft for them and their sock puppets like Jackson. That time seems to have almost arrived.
