Multi-cultie triumph (boycott the military, now)

The extraordinary conclusion of every branch of the American armed forces: to cover-up Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan’s  repeated, self-professed Jihadi beliefs as a factor in his killing of 13 and wounding of 32 at Fort Hood in 2009.

Obviously, politics outweighs command responsibility, to the point where your commander will needlessly endanger your life. Take my advice, guys, this is not the time to enlist, or to accept a commission.  You should boycott these chickenshit bastards until they reform themselves.

Twenty years after it became a common motif in the American legacy media, and despite its recent denunciation as a divisive promoter of segregation, intolerance (and in Hasan’s case official blindness) by the governments of Britain, France and Germany, multiculturalism has become official U.S. dogma.

STICKS AND STONES. Dallas County multiculturalism in action.

The creature Helen Thomas

Glad to see the creature has been retired/fired/whatever after her slur on Israeli Jews. ‘Course it took three days and no publicity by her peers in the newspaper biz. Just blogs. To be expected. Imus or some other white male drops a slur and within a few hours he’s on the front page of every newspaper in the land.

Thomas, of course, is a woman and therefore a member of the woman-and-minorities lucky-sperm Multicultural Club. Which isn’t multi, actually, since it mainly concerns blacks and Hispanics. Not Asians, who are dismissed by mutliculties as the “model minority,” and certainly not white males. Anyhow. Thomas was a joke before she slurred a nation. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

UPDATE:  Here’s a perfect example of the tyranny of the Multicultie crowd.

The J-Word

This is a wonderful novel about the Jews of London, observant and secular, and their struggles with identity and anti-Jewish hostility  (“In every generation…”). Jack Silver, who thought he raised a secular like himself discovers otherwise and is charmingly transformed by a tradition-seeking grandchild. There is also the fractured, multicultural British welfare state and the delays, indifference and friction it inevitably produces. I was already smitten with author Andrew Sanger’s 4th edition of “Fodor’s Exploring Israel” (which is a visit all by itself) so I was not surprised to find he had such a good story in him and the talent to convey it with humor and substance. I can’t imagine how anyone could be anything but pleased with either volume. And in light of the probability that “The J-Word” will not be seconded for some time, I have begun reading it again.

UPDATE:  A good interview with the author on his intentions. And a nice link from him, as well. Thank you.

Multiculturalism on trial?

Oh, no, we can’t have that. No problem. Barry stuck with the video and canceled the audio and it all went away. It’s not, after all, about resolving anything. The race game must not be challenged.

Racist for the Supremes

“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life."

                                                                     –Sonia Sotomayor

Charming.

MORE:  Wisdom from a commenter at Reason magazine: "Can we just get beyond pretending that SCOTUS appointments are about getting the ‘best’ person available for the job and instead are really little more than point-scoring political appointments for fellow travelers?"

UPDATE:  The inevitable Ann Coulter does a choice job of skewering Sotomayor’s alleged "empathy." Despite it all, I have trouble worrying about her. For one thing she’ll be too shrill to be a leader on the court, as Karl Rove explains. So the court’s second Hispanic is a racist. Did you imagine Barry could have a racist pastor for twenty years and really be a racial uniter and healer? Haw.

Redefining PC

The Dutch Left has issued a new position paper that stands multiculturalism on its head:

"We have to stop the existence of parallel societies within our society."

The issue, of course, is Islam, the least tolerant "parallel society" of all. The question: is it too late?

Immigration backlash

Instapundit says this sort of thing was inevitable, we’ve already been warned, and the Swiss reaction likely will spread. I think that’s right, in part because multiculturalism is a huge fraud and diversity can only go so far. That neither play well in Switzerland isn’t surprising. That there is a limit to how well they can play in the United States seems logical, though the limit probably is well beyond what an insular people like the Swiss can tolerate. It will start here (has, in fact, already begun), as in parts of Europe, as a reaction to Islam’s built-in intolerance, it seems to me. A country like ours, with cherished equal rights for women, for instance, isn’t going to readily absorb a flock of females concealed in burkas. They already make many Americans uncomfortable.
