“Obama doesn’t win wars. He lies about them.”

So says Sultan Knish who continues: “Obama has been playing tactical word games over ISIS all along. He would ‘degrade and ultimately destroy’ ISIS. Or perhaps dismantle the Islamic State. Or maybe just contain it.

“Containment is closest to the truth. Obama has no plan for defeating ISIS. Nor is he planning to get one any time soon. There will be talk of multilateral coalitions. Drone strikes will take out key figures. And then when this impressive war theater has died down, ISIS will suddenly pull off another attack.”

Meanwhile, Obamalot has been busy changing the names of the enemy. Two, three times. If this doesn’t confuse things enough, Wormtongue counts on you not remembering what he said.

Differences between Paris and Jerusalem

“Neither Ban Ki-moon nor the leaders of Europe and America will be calling for ‘all sides to show restraint’, nor will they want to discuss a cycle of violence. No one is going to accuse France of a disproportionate response (even though M. Hollande within hours declared a state of emergency, sealed the borders and swore to respond ‘without mercy’) and no UN investigation will take statements from aggrieved Syrians or France’s neglected and discriminated-against Muslim minority.

“No governments, NGOs or respectable media outlets will suggest that France, as by far the stronger, richer and better-armed party, must offer concessions to its enemies as the only way to achieve peace.”

Another gun-free zone: Paris

Yep. When only the cops and the criminals have guns, the law-abiding citizen is nothing but prey.

Mr. B. and I are going target shooting again tomorrow at Red’s indoor range  in South Austin. I’m not sure what his motive is other than curiosity and the fact that his best friend does it and hunts as well. As for me, now that it’s obvious the terror war continues to escalate, I want to get better at hitting dead center. And consider getting a CHL. They both might come in handy someday.

The Jewish Rifle & Pistol Club

Mr. Boy and I spent this morning at the Best of the West Shooting Sports range near Liberty Hill in Williamson County. It was the first meeting of the new Jewish Rifle & Pistol Club of Central Texas. Twelve experienced shooters and two novices showed up. Total membership, however, is thirty.

We all got membership cards with the engraved reminder from Leviticus: “Don’t stand by while your neighbor’s blood is shed.” Which is interesting. There is no requirement to rescue in American jurisprudence. The latter is about rights. Jewish religious law is about obligations. And probably a majority of American Jews are anti-gun. But as one of the club’s leaders expressed it in a recent issue of the local Jewish Outlook: “It’s not for everyone, but there should be someone.”

It was also interesting to meet the number of club members with Texas concealed-carry licenses. One, a Round Rock retiree, said he doesn’t carry all the time, just on special occasions such as the High Holy Days, when he wants to be ready to stop any schmuck who decides it would be a perfect time to take out a bunch of Jews. Those of the Islamic persuasion being the most likely to get the urge.

A few of us didn’t stick around to shoot after meeting everyone and having a group picture taken. The wind was strong, there was intermittent light rain and the temperature was only in the upper 50s. Happily what was initially billed as only an annual event will now be monthly. And the late fall in Texas often is warm. So next time…

Shut down Al Aqsa

When mosques become military installations used to store weapons (ever lost an eye or half your brain to a flying chunk of concrete?) they deserve to be shuttered & demolished. And so with Al Aqsa (the interior shown above), the pretend site of Mighty Mo’s ascension to heaven on a flying horse. Or some such mystical twaddle.

Sure the Arab world will go ape-shit, but they already do now every time one of their half-wit, goat-f**king brethren raises the cry that the dreaded Jews want to desecrate Al Aqsa by, get this, praying there. Either shut it down and suffer the inevitable bloodletting, but with a definite end in sight, or continue Dayan’s Folly and the death of a thousand cuts forever.

UPDATE:  Meanwhile, back at the White House, our prevaricator-in-chief is lying: “As the number of Israelis murdered during a streak of Palestinian terrorism continues to rise, the Obama administration sought to equate the sides and told reporters that, in its view, Israel is guilty of terrorism.”

In our view, the Obama administration is guilty of stupidity.

Jewish Day At The Range

The growing anti-Semitism in the world, particularly in Europe and on American college campuses, has helped spawn a new interest among some Texas Jews in the care and use of firearms. Hence The Jewish Rifle & Pistol Club of Central Texas.

The club is sponsoring the first annual Jewish Day At The Range on the 25th at the Best of The West shooting range in Liberty Hill, up the road from the rancho. I plan to attend to see how many times I can put a .22 bullet from my new Ruger SR22 in the center of a paper target.

Some laugh at the little .22, but, as one SR22 user has commented, properly aimed, a .22 will kill you just as dead as a .45 ACP cartridge banger. And .22s are a whole lot easier to shoot (with almost no recoil) and the cartridges are much cheaper.

As Dr. Carson wisely said not long ago (to the inevitable chorus of denials by the usual leftist news media suspects) there would never have been a Holocaust if more Jews had been armed and competent in the use of firearms. I don’t think that’s going to be a problem from now on.
