Barry Hussein the job creator

Yes! Thousands of new jobs with his mouth alone. And not just new bureaucrats.

“The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has released a new report that reveals more than 100,000 jobs in gun-related industries were created in the last 7 years.

“The NSSF reports that in 2008 the number of jobs in firearms-related industries was 166,200. In 2015 that number jumped to 287,986, for an additional 121,786 jobs or an increase of 73%.”

I say that’s change we can believe in!

UPDATE:  Otherwise, he’s the first president not to see a single year of 3% GDP growth. Although I think you could thank his party—Pelosi, Reid, etc.— for most of the problem.

Age is just a number

I laugh every time I see/hear this phrase. Usually written/spoken by the young. Who have no conception of how hard time will kick their firm little ass.

It’s also a favorite with poorly-paid young women seeking sugar daddies on the dating sites. How would I know? I joined a couple, including  Match.com, to assess my prospects.

Met one nice local woman already, a grandmother my age who knows what time can do. She’s a newcomer to the area but already getting acclimated. We’re going target shooting next week.

But also have met a bunch of big boobed scammers who seem to trade come-on lines. Like age is just a number. I’d love to be there when they wake and find old age has snuck up on them. Not to mention gravity.

Change for a $20 is a good idea

I agree with the WSJ that Harriet Tubman to replace Andy Jackson on the $20 bill is a good idea. Even if I am related to Jackson by marriage. Andy’s use-by date is long past. Gathering mold for too long now.

Harriet would be a good choice for several reasons. Maybe the colored, er, people of, would stop whining so much with one of their own on the money. Maybe not. Worth a try. Also because Harriet was a gun owner (yay!) and a Republican. Now that’s change we can believe in.

Could be a lot worse. Could be Sojourner Truth, for instance. They taught Mr. B. about her in first grade. For several years he was sure she freed the slaves and I could not talk him out of it. Still can’t talk him out of much but he’s finally heard of Lincoln.

UPDATE:  Hmm, turns out Old Andy will be on the back of the bill which seems like a cluttered idea. He should be retired altogether for simplicity’s sake.

Rule 5: Girl With Gun

About time we got back to the Rule 5s. This nice posterior view is only the start.

Range Day April 3

armedjew

Mr. B. has lost interest in shooting but I’m still working on my aim, so it’s off to Liberty Hill on Sunday for the Jewish Rifle & Pistol Club’s April meet at Best of The West outdoor range.

UPDATE:  It was fun, as always. Adam’s walking everyone through a tactical advance-while-shooting-routine was instructive. (Although I’d still rather be concealed or prone on the ground, infantry-style.) Only the staple guns (to affix the targets) ran out of ammo. 😉 See y’all again in June.

Deer hunting with a revolver

Mrs. Charm’s uncle, Dave Cox, retired Air Force, retired Virginia sheriff’s deputy, likes to hunt deer with a handgun.

“I’m sure there are some that think I’m nuts for using a revolver for deer hunting… Those deer that have ended up in the skillet could tell a different story. Ruger .357 magnum is an excellent caliber for deer, and if they’re within 60 yards, in woods so thick you can’t flip a booger any farther than 5 feet, a long barrel just gets in the way. Gotta save that long barrel ammo for those who think they’re gonna do some gun confiscation… 2nd Amendment lives!”

Takes a lot of skill to stalk prey close enough for a hand gun kill without spooking them away. Not to mention really great aim without benefit of a scope. One of these days…

The Administrative State

“Certainly Mr. Trump has a mouth, and he’s not afraid to use it. He also speaks to adoring crowds who cheer when he says to respond in kind to activists trying to disrupt his rallies. Even so, the over-the-top claims that Mr. Trump is the new Il Duce may be distracting attention from the soft despotism that Tocqueville deemed the far likelier menace to American liberties.

“This kind of authoritarianism doesn’t come with goose steps or brown shirts or large populist movements. It prefers bureaucracy to bombast. It presents itself as a solution to the complexities of modern government, and it’s called the administrative state.”

And the Hildabeast prefers the administrative rules of an FCC or an FBI to get the things she wants: an end to conservative radio and internet, and availability of guns to all but the elites’ bodyguards.
